120-Hour Combined TEFL Certification
(75% on line/25% on site)
The certificate is the same as the one issued upon completion of the on-site program. This is due to the 7-day teaching practicum in Montreal, Canada that comes with the combined course.
Classes run between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Our accredited Combined TEFL course connects online with on-site training. The first stage is to study the principles and theories of TEFL online, at your own pace. After completion of the theory segment, you will attend one of our training centers for seven days of practical teaching of real EFL/ESL students. This combined certification is ideal if you do not have the time the intensive nature of an on-site TEFL course, but would like to get real teaching practice (something a lot of schools prefer to see, especially when they pay in the upper salary range). The combined course features the same components as an on-site course and results in 120-hour TEFL certification. The course comes with full career-support services.

120-Hour Combined TEFL/TESOL Course Description
The academic program of the combined TEFL Course in Canada is essentially the same as the one of the on-site course. The difference is that the trainees work on the theory in an on-line segment under the guidance of a tutor. They do the practical teaching and project work during a seven-day attendance in one of the centers.

How to Teach English Grammar
Inputs cover word classes, simple sentence elements, complex sentences and clauses, verb tenses, conditionals and modals, phrasal verbs and reported speech. The participants of the TEFL Course in Canada experience how to present grammar concepts in the EFL/ESL classroom in an interesting way while reviewing it at the same time.
How to Teach Accent Reduction (phonology)
Covering phonemics, rhythm, stress, intonation, place & manner of articulation, and connected speech. Trainees learn how to assess a student’s accent in order to design a program to reduce (or even eliminate) it.
Besides daily teaching of actual EFL students, the teaching practicum focuses on the same projects students of the on-site program must complete.

All teachers have to complete:

· 3 hour observing professionally developed video
· 6 hours of peer observation
· a minimum of 6 hours of observed, individual teaching practice with EFL classes.
Trainees’ assignments on the TEFL course in Canada will be evaluated according to a specific set of assessment criteria, as listed below, all of which are also specified on the information header sheets attached to each relevant assignment. The assessment criteria for the Language Awareness component of the course include the requirements for the Phonology and Grammar Tests. You will also be evaluated on the following:
